Birthday to a Froggi
Welcome Home my birthday friend,
Speculation on when this day was did finally end.
As you walk through your home today
You wont find a pile of clay
Or Sherwood Forest or a banana peel
Or Dixie cups with water unsealed,
There will be no wall of soda pop
Or things that on your head will drop.
There have been no changes to your place
‘cept one, but ‘twill cause you no disgrace.
(On my word you can rely.
It’s me! I would never lie.)
Speculation on when this day was did finally end.
As you walk through your home today
You wont find a pile of clay
Or Sherwood Forest or a banana peel
Or Dixie cups with water unsealed,
There will be no wall of soda pop
Or things that on your head will drop.
There have been no changes to your place
‘cept one, but ‘twill cause you no disgrace.
(On my word you can rely.
It’s me! I would never lie.)
Search high, search low, and in between
Look sharp for what may be seen
On top, inside, around and behind
Grab the goodness that you may find.
Just heed this one warning lest it come too late
If you are to avoid this dire fate
Make sure you find all 55 pieces.
(Sometimes they look just like feces.)
If you leave them too long sitting around
Any heat will make them a gooey mound.
Grab them, eat them, and enjoy them for long
Happy Birthday Froggi! Uh,… Ding dong.

This poem I wrote to an amazing friend of mine for her birthday. It was done with a mini-prank.
